Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of advanced quantum experiments and detector development.
- Engineer experimental setups, align optical components, and operate cryogenic systems.
- Analyze data with Python and MATLAB; develop models, simulations, and data pipelines.
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers; supervise technicians and ensure lab safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with theorists and engineers to translate results into prototypes and applications.
- Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and contribute to publications and conference presentations.
- Manage project milestones, equipment maintenance, and budget planning.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics or related field; equivalent research experience considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in experimental physics, with emphasis on quantum optics, cryogenics, or detector development.
- Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals; demonstrated ability to communicate complex results clearly.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW; familiarity with Git and version control.
- Strong problem-solving, experimental design, and troubleshooting skills; excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor others.
- Eligibility to work in the US and willingness to relocate to the Cambridge area.
