We are seeking a results-oriented Policy Analyst to join a premier public sector consultancy supporting city and state governments. This role blends rigorous policy research, data-driven program analysis, and stakeholder engagement to shape effective public services.
As a key member of our Local Government practice, you will translate complex statutes and data into actionable recommendations, produce compelling policy briefs, and collaborate with municipal leaders to drive measurable outcomes.
Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and program evaluations for local government initiatives.
- Design metrics, collect data, and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform decision-making.
- Draft policy briefs, impact assessments, and performance reports for executives and council members.
- Collaborate with city departments, contractors, and community stakeholders to gather input and build consensus.
- Support budget development and financial forecasting related to programs under review.
- Present findings to diverse audiences and translate complex concepts into clear recommendations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Policy Analysis, Political Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on policy analysis, program evaluation, or municipal government experience.
- Strong quantitative skills (statistics, data visualization) and experience with SQL, Excel, or data tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present to senior leaders and the public.
- Experience with budgeting, grant management, or performance measurement.
- Stakeholder engagement and consensus-building capabilities; ability to work across departments.
