Responsibility
- Lead policy research and analysis on municipal programs, regulations, and service delivery.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations and present to senior leadership and city council.
- Collaborate with departments, community organizations, and stakeholders to gather input and build consensus.
- Monitor performance metrics, prepare dashboards, and report on outcomes to track progress against goals.
- Coordinate program evaluations and impact assessments to inform budgeting and strategic planning.
- Prepare persuasive briefing materials, memos, and policy proposals for decision makers.
- Support grant writing and funding applications where applicable.
- Represent the department in public meetings and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, political science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or public administration roles.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar tools; experience with data visualization preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Proven project management and stakeholder engagement experience; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes, budgeting, and performance measurement in a municipal context.
- Ability to navigate political environments with professionalism and integrity.
