As a Senior Principal Research Officer, Workplace Enablement at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), you will lead the design and execution of data-driven workplace strategies across our diverse infrastructure teams. You will partner with IT, facilities, and digital transformation leads to create a high-performing, agile, and secure work environment that supports research excellence and operational efficiency. You will use analytics to inform space planning, technology adoption, and service delivery, while guiding cross-functional teams through change and stakeholder engagement. This role combines strategic advisory, program leadership, and hands-on delivery to realize measurable improvements in productivity, collaboration, and employee experience.

Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of data-driven workplace strategies across infrastructure, facilities, and IT teams to optimize space, tools, and services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into strategic roadmaps, measurement frameworks, and governance models.
- Drive change management, training, and adoption of new workplace technologies, platforms, and processes.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for employee experience, space utilization, energy efficiency, and service delivery; report progress to executives.
- Oversee cross-functional programs related to workplace analytics, ICT enablement, and security/compliance considerations.
- Partner with the CSPO and other program leads to align research outputs with enterprise strategy and policy.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, milestones, and performance to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
- Mentor and develop senior analysts, researchers, and project managers to build capability across teams.
Qualification
- Advanced degree in data science, industrial engineering, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in workplace strategy, research, or technology-enabled infrastructure management, preferably in large organizations or public-sector settings.
- Strong data analytics and storytelling skills, with experience in workplace analytics, space utilization, IoT, and digital workplace tools.
- Proven program management and cross-functional leadership capabilities; experience driving change and adoption across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills; ability to influence at senior levels.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations relevant to workplace and research environments.
- Experience collaborating with product owners, researchers, and facilities teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills and a growth mindset.
