NovaPress Print Solutions is seeking a Senior Print Production Specialist to lead complex print projects from prepress to delivery. This role blends artful attention to color with rigorous production workflows to deliver premium packaging and marketing collateral for top brands.
You'll collaborate with design, operations, and sales teams to schedule jobs, manage proofs, and optimize costs while maintaining stringent quality standards.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end production of high-volume offset and digital print runs, on schedule and on budget.
- Develop and manage color workflows, ensuring consistent color across substrates and equipment.
- Review specs, proofs, and artwork; coordinate prepress and RIP workflows; perform preflight checks.
- Monitor press performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Collaborate with finishing, bindery, and logistics teams to ensure accurate assembly and delivery.
- Implement quality control procedures and continuous process improvements.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
Qualification
- 5+ years in print production, with experience in both offset and digital printing.
- Expertise in color management, ICC profiles, and RIP software (e.g., Esko, EFI, Heidelberg Prinect).
- Strong understanding of substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing processes.
- Proven track record in meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor and customer communication; ability to manage client expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Print Technology, Graphic Communications, or a related field; Lean Six Sigma or PMI a plus.
- Willingness to occasionally work outside regular hours to meet deadlines.
