Join Aurora Print Co., a premium, full-service print house in Los Angeles. We deliver high-quality offset and digital printing for brands across packaging, marketing collateral, and commercial print. We are seeking a skilled Printer Operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about color accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
As a key member of our production team, you will run and optimize diverse printing equipment, ensure color consistency, and uphold our quality standards from file prep to final delivery.
Responsibility
- Operate and monitor offset and digital printing presses, ensuring color accuracy and consistent output.
- Prepare files for print, perform color proofs, and perform in-process adjustments as needed.
- Set up substrates, inks, coatings, and varnishes; manage finishing steps including laminating and binding.
- Perform quality checks at each stage, document results, and address deviations promptly.
- Maintain pressroom cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with prepress and production teams to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
- Monitor production deadlines and communicate status to planning and account managers.
- Mentor junior operators on best practices for color management and machine operation.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with offset or digital printing in a production environment.
- Strong color management skills and familiarity with ICC profiles and color calibration.
- Proficient with prepress workflows, RIP software, and proofing processes.
- Ability to read job tickets, interpret proofs, and make precise adjustments.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail, quality-minded, and able to maintain high production standards under tight deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; proactive problem solver.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in printing preferred.
