  • Develop sustainable packaging strategies to reduce material use, improve recyclability, and lower total cost of ownership.
  • Create CAD models, 3D renderings, and BOMs; manage design reviews and change control.
  • Validate packaging performance through ISTA-compliant tests (vibration, drop, compression, climate) and quantify results.
  • Partner with suppliers and toolmakers to optimize processes, tooling, and ramp to high-volume production.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure packaging meets regulatory, safety, and labeling requirements across regions.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of consumer goods packaging development experience, with a track record of successful launches.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo) and 3D rendering; strong BOM and documentation skills.

  • Solid understanding of packaging materials, conversion processes, and sustainability considerations (recyclability, compostability, and life cycle assessment).
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication; strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • Vendor management experience, including supplier selection, auditing, and tooling negotiations; project management skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and labeling standards for multiple markets; willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%).
