Join NovaPack Solutions, a premium leader in consumer packaging design and engineering. We are seeking a Senior Product Packaging Engineer to lead the development of innovative packaging solutions for a diverse portfolio of consumer products. This role blends materials science, design thinking, and manufacturing know-how to deliver packaging that protects products, improves sustainability, and enhances on-shelf impact.
You will own end-to-end packaging programs from concept through scale up, working closely with R&D, design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to deliver on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.
Responsibility
- Lead development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging concepts that balance performance, cost, and sustainability.
- Create packaging specifications, design for manufacturability, material selections, and finishings in collaboration with suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships, bids, testing protocols, and qualification of packaging components.
- Oversee validation testing (ISTA/packaging tests), durability, environmental, and compatibility assessments.
- Collaborate with QA, regulatory, and brand teams to ensure labeling accuracy and compliance across regions.
- Drive digital prototyping, 3D modeling, and rapid concept iteration to shorten development cycles.
- Lead cross functional teams in project planning, risk management, and cost optimizations to hit milestones.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in product packaging design/engineering for consumer goods; experience with both rigid and flexible packaging.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar) and 3D modeling for packaging concepts.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, laminates, adhesives, and sustainability practices.
- Experience with supplier management, bids, testing protocols, and project management.
- Familiarity with ISTA testing, regulatory labeling requirements, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross functional collaboration skills.
