At NexaPack Innovations, we design and scale premium consumer packaging that protects products and enhances brand experience. We are seeking a talented Senior Product Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development from concept through launch in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
As a key member of the Packaging and Product Development team, you will collaborate with design, marketing, procurement, and manufacturing to deliver innovative, cost-efficient packaging solutions that meet regulatory and sustainability goals.
Responsibility
- Lead packaging concept development and design optimization for new and existing SKUs.
- Create and manage packaging BOMs, specifications, artwork approvals, and testing plans.
- Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to evaluate materials, print/pack processes, and production feasibility.
- Drive cost reduction and sustainability initiatives through material selection and process improvements.
- Validate designs with rapid prototyping, testing (ISTA, drop tests, compression tests), and scale-up trials.
- Collaborate with Design, Marketing, Regulatory, and QA teams to ensure launch readiness and label compliance.
- Support supplier qualification, risk assessment, and continuous improvement programs across packaging lines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of packaging design/engineering experience in consumer goods or e-commerce brands.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and 3D prototyping; strong tolerance analysis skills.
- Experience with packaging testing (ISTA, ASTM) and validation from concept to production.
- Solid understanding of materials science, packaging materials, and sustainability considerations for both rigid and flexible packaging.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, project management, and supplier management abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and data-driven problem-solving skills.
