In this role you will partner with cross-functional teams, craft compelling stories, and manage crisis communications while delivering measurable impact through earned media and data-driven reporting. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with external agencies to execute high-impact programs that elevate brand reputation and visibility.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies for assigned accounts to secure top-tier media coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and analysts; pitch, place stories, secure interviews.
- Lead press release creation, statements, and proactive media outreach.
- Manage crisis communications planning, monitoring, and reactive messaging; oversee issue management.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and executive teams to align messaging and campaigns.
- Lead media analytics, reporting, and ROI measurement; present insights to stakeholders.
- Manage junior staff and external agencies, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, or related field; 6+ years in PR; agency or corporate experience.
- Proven media relations success with placements in national outlets and trade press.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities; proficient in crafting pitches and press releases.
- Experience with crisis communications and issue management; calm under pressure.
- Strong project management and leadership; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with PR analytics tools (Cision, Meltwater) and media monitoring; data-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; willing to travel as needed.
