NorthStar Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Seattle-based team. We deliver scalable SaaS solutions to enterprise clients and operate with a customer-first mindset. This role blends manual and automated testing to ensure product quality at every release.
You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and data scientists to design test plans, write automated tests, and guide the QA strategy across features and milestones.

What you will impact:
Responsibility
- Define and own the QA strategy, test plans, and risk assessments for product releases.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites (end-to-end, API, and integration) to accelerate CI/CD.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to identify acceptance criteria and define robust quality gates.
- Execute manual and exploratory testing to discover edge cases and usability issues.
- Analyze test results, report defects with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in testing and quality metrics.
- Contribute to test data management, performance testing, and security testing as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 5 years of professional QA experience in software development environments.
- Proven expertise in test automation using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to verify data integrity across services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and test environment orchestration.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and defect tracking tools (Jira, Zephyr).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor teammates and thrive in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
