Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability backend services in a cloud environment.
- Own API design, data modelling, and performance optimization for scale.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers to promote best practices.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps to deliver cohesive features.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response plans.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technology strategy.
- Support hiring and onboarding of new engineers as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience with backend systems.
- Proficiency in at least one major backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong SQL skills and data modeling abilities.
- Track record of delivering stable, scalable services and leading projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
