Responsibility

  • Lead design and execution of high impact experiments in quantum materials and low temperature physics.
  • Develop and optimize measurement protocols and data analysis pipelines for transport, magnetometry and spectroscopy.
  • Collaborate with theory and computational teams to interpret results and refine models.
  • Mentor graduate students and junior researchers; supervise experiments and safety compliance.
  • Prepare and present results for internal reviews, grant proposals and external conferences.
  • Manage lab workflow, instrumentation maintenance, procurement and quality control.
  • Publish findings in peer reviewed journals and contribute to intellectual property development.
  • Engage with external facilities such as synchrotron or neutron sources to advance projects.

Qualification

  • PhD in Physics or related field; or MS with extensive experimental experience in quantum materials.
  • 5+ years in experimental condensed matter or quantum materials research.
  • Expertise in cryogenics, low temperature measurements from milliKelvin to a few Kelvin and cryogenic instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Python and MATLAB; experience with LabVIEW or similar tools.
  • Strong publication record and experience with grant writing and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Ability to interpret experimental data in the context of theoretical models; strong problem solving skills.
  • US work authorization and willingness to travel as needed.
