Job description
QuantaDynamics Labs is seeking a Senior Research Physicist to lead experimental programs in quantum sensing and materials characterization. The successful candidate will design and execute experiments, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate discoveries into scalable technologies.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of physics, engineering, and data science, in a state-of-the-art lab with access to cryogenic systems, high-field magnets, and ultrafast measurement tools.
Responsibility
- Lead design, execution, and analysis of quantum sensing experiments.
- Develop and optimize experimental protocols, measurement techniques, and data analysis pipelines.
- Mentor and supervise graduate students, postdocs, and junior staff.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to develop integrated sensing solutions.
- Present results at internal reviews and external conferences; author publications.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and safety/compliance.
- Oversee calibration and performance benchmarking of cryogenic and related equipment.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, or closely related field with 5+ years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Strong background in quantum sensing, precision measurement, or condensed matter physics.
- Proficiency in data analysis with Python, MATLAB, or Julia; experience with statistical methods.
- Hands-on experience with cryogenic systems, dilution refrigerators, superconducting circuits, and high-field magnets.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of publications and conference presentations.
- Ability to manage projects and mentor junior researchers; eligible to work in the United States.
