Join Apex Risk Partners, a leading advisory and solutions firm focused on enterprise risk management. We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead risk governance, quantify risk exposures, and drive cross-functional risk initiatives for a diverse client base. Hybrid work options available in New York City.

As part of our risk advisory practice, you will partner with executives to design robust ERM programs, develop risk appetite frameworks, enhance controls, and ensure regulatory alignment across industries. You will be trusted to translate complex risk insights into actionable strategies for senior leadership and boards.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design and deployment of enterprise risk management programs across clients, aligning risk governance with business strategy.
  • Quantify and monitor risk exposures using qualitative and quantitative methods, including risk modeling and stress testing.
  • Develop and implement risk appetite statements, tolerance thresholds, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and IT to strengthen internal controls and control testing.
  • Prepare executive-level risk reporting and dashboards for Board presentations.
  • Advise on operational, cyber, market, and regulatory risks; support risk-related incident investigations.
  • Lead risk assessment workshops, risk control self-assessments, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Mentor junior analysts and build a high-performing risk management team culture.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, enterprise risk management (ERM), or internal controls in financial services or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory requirements (SOX, Dodd-Frank, GDPR/CCPA).
  • Proven ability to quantify risk using data analytics, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with senior stakeholders and boards.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, CIA, or CFA are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
