NovaGuard Risk Solutions is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead our enterprise risk program in New York City. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on risk analytics, fostering resilient operations for a diverse client portfolio. You will define risk appetite, build robust controls, KRIs, and reporting that informs executive decisions and regulatory compliance. Responsibility
- Develop and oversee the enterprise risk management framework across financial, operational, cyber, and third-party risk domains.
- Lead risk assessments, scenario analysis, and control testing to identify and treat material risks.
- Define and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and align risk appetite with business strategy.
- Coordinate risk monitoring and reporting, producing board-ready dashboards and executive communications.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, IT, and business units to implement risk mitigations.
- Lead incident response planning, business continuity, and crisis management activities.
- Influence strategic decisions through risk insights, scenario planning, and data-driven recommendations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive risk management experience in financial services or regulated industries.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, CRISC, or CAMS are highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory expectations (Basel III, GDPR, SOX).
- Proven ability to quantify risk using data analytics, modeling, and KRIs; proficient with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and ability to present complex concepts to executives.
- Experience with risk management software and governance tools; with a track record of driving remediation plans.
