At Apex Financial Risk Solutions, we empower financial institutions to anticipate, quantify, and mitigate risk across all lines of defense. We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk initiatives, shape governance, and drive resilient risk programs across the organization.
In this role, you will partner with executive leadership to design and implement risk frameworks, perform scenario analysis, monitor risk appetite, and ensure regulatory alignment. The ideal candidate excels in cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and communicating complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of enterprise risk management (ERM) framework aligned to COSO standards.
- Quantify and monitor risk appetite, thresholds, and key risk indicators (KRIs) across functions.
- Coordinate risk assessments, scenario planning, and stress testing with business units.
- Collaborate with governance committees to report on risk exposure and remediation status.
- Identify emerging risks from regulatory changes, market dynamics, and technology shifts; translate into actionable plans.
- Partner with data teams to build risk analytics dashboards and automated reporting.
- Oversee risk incident response and business continuity planning; lead post-incident reviews.
- Mentor junior risk analysts and promote a culture of proactive risk management.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, risk management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (FRM, CFA, CPA, CRISC) preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive risk management experience in financial services or corporate risk environments.
- Strong knowledge of COSO ERM framework, regulatory requirements, and risk governance.
- Proven ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights for executives.
- Experience with risk analytics, data visualization, and risk reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven track record in incident response, business continuity, and resilience planning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with strong ethics and integrity.
