NovaGuard Advisory is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk governance and drive resilient strategic outcomes for a diverse client portfolio. This is a premium, high-impact role for a proactive risk professional who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
You will partner with executive leadership to design, implement, and monitor risk frameworks across financial, operational, cyber, regulatory, and reputational risk domains, translating complex data into actionable insights that protect value and enable growth.
As a member of the risk leadership team, you will shape risk culture, oversee risk appetite, and ensure robust controls, governance, and reporting across the organization.
Responsibility
- Lead design, implementation, and oversight of the enterprise risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Identify and assess material risks across financial, operational, cyber, regulatory, and reputational domains; develop risk registers and mitigation plans.
- Monitor risk indicators, prepare dashboards, and present insights to the board and senior stakeholders.
- Drive risk governance across functions, ensuring risk appetite, policies, and controls are embedded in day-to-day operations.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation for material risk events.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and technology teams to strengthen controls and risk data quality.
- Mentor and develop junior risk professionals; foster a culture of proactive risk awareness.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, economics, or related field; professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in risk management within financial services, consulting, or equivalent environments.
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO) and regulatory requirements across the UK/EU context.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and risk management software (e.g., Archer, MetricStream) is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at executive levels.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
