At ApexGuard Financial, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Risk Manager to lead our enterprise risk program across financial, regulatory, and operational domains. This role partners with executive leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate risk while promoting a culture of proactive risk awareness.
As a key member of the Risk & Compliance team, you will design, implement, and continuously improve an ERM framework that supports strategic decisionâmaking and regulatory readiness. You will collaborate with business leaders to translate complex risk data into actionable insights and governance materials for the board and executive leadership.
Responsibility
- Lead design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework aligned with COSO and ISO 31000.
- Partner with C-suite and business leaders to identify, measure, and mitigate strategic, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Develop risk appetite statements, risk registers, tolerances, and key risk indicators (KRIs); track and report to executive leadership and board.
- Oversee risk analytics, data governance, and QA of risk data; ensure data quality and timeliness for risk dashboards.
- Manage thirdâparty and vendor risk programs; conduct due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and remediation.
- Lead crisis management, business continuity planning, and scenario analysis; drive tabletop exercises and incident response.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for audits, including SOX controls and internal control frameworks.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in finance, risk management, economics, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (FRM, PRM, CRM, CIA) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive risk management experience in financial services or corporate risk environments.
- Strong knowledge of COSO, ISO 31000, SOX, and enterprise risk management processes.
- Proven track record designing and implementing ERM programs, KRIs, risk appetite, and governance reporting.
- Proficient with data analytics tools; SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau; experience with risk data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership; ability to influence crossâfunctional teams.
- Experience with vendor risk management and business continuity planning.
