Join Apex Risk Solutions, a leading provider of enterprise risk management for financial services and technology firms. We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to design, implement, and optimize comprehensive risk programs that protect value, reputation, and stakeholders.
In this role, you will partner with executives across risk, IT, compliance, and operations to translate strategy into actionable controls, dashboards, and documentation. You will own risk maturity initiatives, drive regulatory alignment, and champion a proactive risk culture.
What you will bring to the team includes:
Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of the enterprise risk management framework across risk categories including operational, cyber, financial, and regulatory risk.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks using KRIs and risk registers; maintain accurate risk profiles for business units and functions.
- Monitor risk exposure and produce executive dashboards, reports, and heat maps for risk committees and senior leadership.
- Oversee policy development, risk appetite statements, control testing, and remediation tracking to ensure effective governance.
- Collaborate with IT security, compliance, internal audit, and business owners to implement robust risk controls and incident response plans.
- Coordinate business continuity management testing, crisis simulations, and lessons learned to strengthen resilience.
- Provide risk training, guidance, and messages to foster a proactive risk-aware culture across the organization.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced certifications preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in risk management, internal controls, or regulatory compliance, preferably in financial services or tech sectors.
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks such as ISO 31000 and COSO; familiarity with NIST CSF a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and storytelling with data; experience with SQL, Excel, Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with risk governance, policy development, control testing, and audit support.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CRISC, CIRM, or CIM are highly valued.
