Job description
NorthBridge Financial, a premium financial services firm in New York, seeks a Senior Risk Manager to lead our enterprise risk framework. You will design risk governance, monitor exposures, and collaborate with business leaders to build resilient operations across the organization.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain an enterprise risk management framework aligned with COSO principles and regulatory expectations.
- Quantify and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) across all units; provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Lead risk assessments for new initiatives, products, and strategic programs; ensure defined risk owners, thresholds, and controls.
- Oversee incident response and business continuity planning; conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements.
- Manage third-party and vendor risk programs; evaluate supplier risk profiles and remediation plans.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting and assurance activities with internal and external auditors.
- Foster a risk-aware culture through training, communications, and governance committees.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in risk management within financial services
- Proven track record designing and implementing risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000)
- Strong quantitative skills; experience with KRIs, stress testing, and scenario analysis
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements (SOX, FFIEC, Basel III) and control environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence at the executive level
- Proficiency with risk software and data visualization tools (SAS, R, Python, Tableau)
- Willingness to travel as needed
