The ideal candidate brings a strong quantitative background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering risk insights in complex environments.

Responsibility

  • Develop and implement the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, including risk taxonomy, risk appetite, and governance structures.
  • Lead periodic risk assessments across markets, products, and operations to identify, measure, and monitor principal risks.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and report risk metrics to executive leadership and the board on a regular cadence.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., Basel III/IV, SOX, GDPR where relevant).
  • Oversee risk indicators, stress testing, scenario analysis, and capital planning to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with risk owners to implement mitigation plans and track remediation progress.
  • Champion risk culture through training, communication, and clear governance processes.
  • Partner with technology and data teams to enhance data quality, tooling, and risk reporting capabilities.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree or professional designations (FRM, CFA) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in risk management within financial services, consulting, or a regulated industry.
  • Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in risk modeling, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Basel capital frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk governance frameworks (COSO/ERM).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Privacy and information security awareness; commitment to ethical practices and compliance.
