NovaRisk Global is hiring a Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk management initiatives for a diversified portfolio of clients. This role combines strategic risk assessment with hands-on risk governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and our firm-wide risk appetite. Based in New York, this position offers a high-visibility opportunity to shape risk strategy in a fast-evolving market.
As a senior member of the risk leadership team, you will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk frameworks that protect value, enable growth, and support informed decision making across the organization.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain enterprise risk management framework aligned with COSO and ISO 31000
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across operations, finance, and technology
- Oversee risk appetite, tolerance limits, and risk reporting to executive leadership and board committees
- Manage third party and vendor risk programs including due diligence and ongoing monitoring
- Lead incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning
- Coordinate regulatory risk programs, audit remediation, and regulatory exams
- Partner with CTO, CFO, and business leaders to embed risk insights into strategic decision making
Qualification
- 7+ years in risk management, internal controls, or compliance within financial services or corporate environments
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field; MBA or advanced certifications preferred
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or CIPM
- Strong knowledge of COSO, ISO 31000 frameworks and risk analytics
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Excel) and visualization (Tableau or Power BI)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to influence at C-level
- Experience with regulatory regimes (Dodd-Frank, GDPR/CCPA, FFIEC) and vendor risk management
