We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build the backbone of our API-first platform. This role offers technical leadership, impactful projects, and opportunities for growth in a supportive team.
Location: Austin, TX. Remote-friendly with occasional on-site collaboration.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs using modern languages and frameworks.
- Drive architectural decisions, performance optimization, and reliability improvements across the platform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, instrumentation, and observability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to translate requirements into robust software.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data protection in all services.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical debt reduction.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Python, Node.js, or Java).
- Experience building and operating microservices in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs; experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and incident response.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; proactive and self-motivated.
