As a Senior Sports Coach, you will lead dynamic practice sessions, craft periodized training plans, and drive performance improvements while maintaining safety and enjoyment for all participants.
Responsibility
- Plan and deliver sport-specific coaching sessions for youth and adults across multiple programs.
- Develop periodized training plans and track athlete progress over time.
- Lead safe, inclusive, and progressive practice environments that foster growth.
- Assess skill levels, provide actionable feedback, and set individualized development goals.
- Collaborate with conditioning staff, sports science, and medical teams to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.
- Communicate schedules, expectations, and progress with players, families, and program leaders.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and safety standards; ensure accessibility for participants of all abilities.
- Contribute to program development by designing clinics, camps, and special events.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, sports science, coaching, or related field; or equivalent coaching experience.
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience with youths or adults in competitive or community settings.
- Coaching certification relevant to the sport (for example US Soccer, US Youth Soccer, NFHS, or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- CPR/First Aid certification and a current background check.
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills with a player-first mindset.
- Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate curricula and assess progress effectively.
- Knowledge of injury prevention, safe training practices, and basic strength & conditioning principles.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel for camps or tournaments.
