Peak Performance Sports Academy is hiring a results-driven Senior Sports Coach to lead our youth development programs in Austin, TX. You will design evidence-based coaching plans, mentor assistant coaches, and create a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability.
In this role, you’ll work with athletes aged 7-18 across multiple sports, emphasizing technical skill, tactical understanding, physical literacy, and character development. Responsibility
- Plan, lead, and evaluate structured coaching sessions for youth athletes across assigned sports, tailoring content to skill level and age group.
- Design progressive curricula that integrate technical skill development, tactical understanding, physical literacy, and injury prevention.
- Mentor and supervise assistant coaches, providing feedback, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
- Monitor athlete progress using standardized metrics and maintain accurate session reports and attendance records.
- Collaborate with program directors to plan seasonal schedules, equipment needs, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and communicate with parents/guardians regarding development and progress.
- Ensure all sessions adhere to safety guidelines and first aid procedures, with regular risk assessments.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field; or equivalent coaching experience.
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience with youth athletes; multi-sport experience preferred.
- Coaching certifications relevant to assigned sports (e.g., US Soccer Grassroots, USA Basketball) or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Proven ability to design development-focused coaching plans and monitor athlete progress.
- Strong communication skills with athletes, families, and staff; fluent in English.
- First Aid/CPR certification and basic emergency response knowledge; ability to handle on-site injuries and safety protocols.
- Leadership mindset with a collaborative approach and ability to mentor others.
