We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our fast-paced technology team in Seattle. This role focuses on translating business needs into actionable system designs, influencing architecture decisions, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable value.
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to elicit requirements, model processes, and define acceptance criteria. You will drive improvements across data flows, integrations, and user experiences, while upholding governance and quality standards.
The ideal candidate combines technical acumen with strong communication, strategic thinking, and a passion for solving complex business problems.
Responsibility
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategies into clear system requirements and processes.
- Elicit, analyze, and document requirements using use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models.
- Model business processes with BPMN/UML and help design user-centric interfaces and data structures.
- Assess feasibility, risks, and dependencies; evaluate solution options including integrations and data architecture.
- Define acceptance criteria, lead UAT, and ensure traceability from requirements to implementation.
- Partner with IT and product teams to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Support project planning and estimation; maintain scope control and change management through lifecycle.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in requirements management and analysis techniques.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of Systems Analysis or Business Analysis experience in a technology-enabled environment.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation, data modeling, process mapping, and BPMN/UML.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data visualization/BI tools; experience with data quality and governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate business needs into technical specs.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira/Confluence; leading UAT and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and integration patterns (APIs, ETL); comfortable with cloud-based architectures.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or CBA are a plus.
