Responsibility
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments for a diverse client base.
- Conduct complex tax research on issues including ASC 740, BEPS considerations, transfer pricing, and international tax planning; provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage tax compliance calendars, coordinate deadlines, and ensure timely filings and accurate payments.
- Contribute to the tax provision process, including workpapers and documentation for annual financial statements (ASC 740).
- Identify and drive tax planning opportunities to optimize effective tax rate and cash tax position.
- Respond to tax notices, manage inquiries, and liaise with tax authorities and auditors as needed.
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external advisors to deliver high-quality tax services and mentor junior staff.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred; 3-6 years of corporate tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax laws; experience with ASC 740, tax provisioning, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Onesource, Corptax) and advanced Excel; ability to analyze large data sets.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience coordinating with clients and cross-functional teams; strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to navigate complex tax issues and present practical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. tax compliance experience including quarterly estimates and annual returns; willingness to travel if needed.
