Job description

Harbor & Crest Tax Partners seeks a Senior Tax Analyst to join our New York City team. In this position, you will work closely with partners, tax directors, and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and proactive tax solutions that minimize risk and optimize cash flow.

Responsibility

  • Lead preparation and review of complex US corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns for multinational clients.
  • Manage the tax provision (ASC 740), support effective tax rate analyses, and coordinate with finance teams.
  • Conduct US and international tax planning, cross-border structuring, and transfer pricing analyses.
  • Monitor changes in federal and state tax law; communicate implications to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with auditors, legal, and treasury to ensure tax compliance and risk management.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff; support training and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Drive tax technology adoption and data analytics projects to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, EA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, with strong US federal and state tax knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of ASC 740, GAAP, IFRS reporting implications for tax.
  • Experience with tax provision software (ONESOURCE or similar) and data analytics tools; advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with transfer pricing, international tax planning, and cross-border transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; professional client service mindset.
