In this role you will lead high-impact tax projects, collaborate with Finance, Legal, and External Advisors, and help shape the tax strategy that supports expansion and performance.

Responsibility

  • Lead preparation and review of federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, estimates, and extensions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage ASC 740 tax provisioning and effective tax rate calculations, ensuring alignment with GAAP and financial reporting timelines.
  • Coordinate transfer pricing documentation and local files, supporting audits and risk management.
  • Drive tax planning initiatives for M&A, reorganizations, and business initiatives to optimize cash tax position.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations to implement tax-efficient processes and controls (SOX-compliant).
  • Oversee interaction with tax authorities during audits, notices, and correspondence; prepare management-ready responses.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through process enhancements and automation.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance; CPA or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • 4+ years of corporate tax experience in industry or public accounting with a strong command of ASC 740, state and local taxation, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
  • Proven experience with tax provisioning systems, tax return preparation, and tax budgeting processes.
  • Solid research skills and ability to interpret complex tax rules, regulations, and case law.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and tax software.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project-management abilities; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
