Responsibility
- Lead and manage tax engagements for multinational and domestic clients, delivering timely and accurate returns, reports, and disclosures.
- Provide strategic tax planning and risk assessment for federal, state, local, and international obligations.
- Oversee ASC 740 tax provision processes, effective tax rate optimization, and financial statement impact analysis.
- Conduct in-depth tax research, document conclusions, and communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, and advisory teams to implement tax-efficient structures.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, review work, and foster a high-performance engagement culture.
- Manage client relationships, expectations, and engagement economics to ensure quality and profitability.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and proactively adapt strategies to evolving tax landscapes.
Qualification
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) with 5+ years of tax advisory or public accounting experience.
- Advanced degree in Tax with JD or LLM preferred; strong academic background.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, including corporate and international tax, transfer pricing, and ASC 740.
- Proven track record leading complex tax engagements and delivering practical, business-focused solutions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-management skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-experts.
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Thomson Reuters, CCH) and data analysis tools (Excel, databases).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with poise.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
