Nimbus Digital Studio is a forward-thinking product studio focused on designing delightful and accessible software experiences. We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead product design across web and mobile platforms. This hybrid role is based in Seattle, with flexibility for occasional remote collaboration.
You will partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to transform complex problems into intuitive, high-impact designs. You will own the end-to-end user experience, from discovery to delivery, and help shape our design system to scale with our growing product portfolio.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end UI/UX design for web and mobile products from concept to delivery.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to define user problems and design solutions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals using Figma, Sketch, or XD.
- Establish and maintain a scalable design system with components, tokens, and accessibility patterns.
- Plan and conduct user research and usability tests; synthesize insights and iterate.
- Ensure accessibility and responsive design across devices and browsers.
- Mentor junior designers and lead design critiques to foster a high-performing design culture.
- Partner in product discovery, contribute to roadmaps, and measure impact using analytics.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience for software/web products with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience building and maintaining a design system; knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to present design decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Strong prototyping and usability testing experience; data-driven mindset.
- Bonus: knowledge of motion design, basic front-end knowledge, or familiarity with design/development handoffs.
