Job description

NovaDesign Labs is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our fast-growing product team in New York. You will lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile experiences, translating complex problems into intuitive interfaces that delight users and drive measurable business outcomes.

In this role, you will collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to uncover user needs, craft elegant flows, and deliver high-fidelity designs. You will own the design system, establish interaction patterns, and advocate accessible design across the organization.

Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process from discovery through delivery for web and mobile products.
  • Collaborate with Product, Research, and Engineering to translate user needs into polished interfaces.
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, storyboards, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Develop and maintain a scalable design system with components, tokens, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Conduct usability testing, synthesize insights, and iterate designs based on data and feedback.
  • Define information architecture and ensure consistent visual language across platforms.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience for digital products, preferably in SaaS or consumer tech.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design across web and mobile.
  • Proficiency in Figma, with experience in Sketch or Adobe XD.
  • Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.
  • Experience building or evolving design systems; knowledge of tokens, components, and accessibility WCAG.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to present ideas to stakeholders and engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics and responsive design best practices is a plus.
