Job description
Join NovaUX Labs as a Senior UI/UX Designer in San Francisco. You will lead product design across web and mobile, partnering with product managers and engineers to deliver elegant, user-centered experiences. You will champion user research, accessibility, and scalable design systems, translating insights into intuitive interfaces and polished prototypes.
What you’ll do is collaborate across disciplines to define product vision, create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, run usability tests, and iterate based on feedback. You will mentor junior designers and contribute to a growing design culture that values curiosity, craft, and collaboration.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end product design for web and mobile, from discovery through delivery.
- Conduct and synthesize user research to inform design decisions and validate features.
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system with components, tokens, and accessibility guidelines.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that communicate UX strategy.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver polished experiences on time.
- Perform usability testing and iterate designs based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Ensure accessible, responsive designs across devices and platforms.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to building a high-performing design culture.
Qualification
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience in tech products with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in Figma and design tools; experience with Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
- Familiarity with usability testing, A/B testing, and analytics-driven design decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills; able to articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design practices.
