StaffKing Pte Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team in the North Region. You will design and implement high-performance software powering sophisticated semiconductor equipment, with emphasis on low latency and deterministic behavior. You will collaborate with hardware, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust machines that meet demanding throughput and reliability targets. The role blends software engineering across Windows and Linux environments, real-time threading, and embedded components. You will work on architectures that scale with complex machine designs and integrate with sensors, actuators, and PLCs. In addition, you will explore cloud-enabled monitoring and data analytics using AWS to improve diagnostics and optimization, while ensuring secure, maintainable code. This is a hands-on engineering role that values curiosity, collaboration, and relentless quality.

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize high-performance software for automated machinery used in semiconductor manufacturing, focusing on low latency and deterministic timing.
- Collaborate with hardware, controls, and test teams to integrate software into complex machine designs and production lines.
- Develop real-time software components on Windows and Linux platforms, using C++ and Python, while following modern software engineering practices.
- Implement automated testing, profiling, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and maintainability in production environments.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and comprehensive documentation to uphold high-quality software standards.
- Leverage cloud technologies for data collection, monitoring, and remote diagnostics when applicable, aligning with AWS services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling for automation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field; or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience in industrial automation.
- Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on experience in real-time, low-latency systems, and Linux/Windows environments.
- Experience with embedded software, IPC, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with industrial automation equipment, machine controls, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud services, data telemetry, and monitoring (AWS preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills; effective in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills with a focus on software quality.
