Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care across assigned units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care; participate in rounds and care conferences.
- Assist with clinical procedures, wound care, IV therapy, and pre/post‑operative nursing support as required.
- Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records and maintain high standards of charting, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols; maintain a safe and clean care environment for patients and staff.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and post‑discharge care to promote health literacy and adherence.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability to shift work, and commitment to continuing education and competency development.
Qualification
- Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized program.
- Current Practicing Certification with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) and eligibility to work in Singapore.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience in a hospital or similar setting (new graduates with clinical internship experience considered).
- Strong knowledge of nursing best practices, patient safety, and infection control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative team player with patient‑centered focus.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems; ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certifications such as BCLS/ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain; additional professional development encouraged.
