Job description
ApexNova Technologies is seeking a results-driven Systems Analyst to join our growing IT team in Seattle. You will translate business needs into clear requirements, assess existing systems, and design scalable solutions that drive efficiency and data-driven decision making. This role collaborates with product, engineering, and operations to align technology with business strategy.
As a Systems Analyst, you will be at the center of cross functional collaboration, shaping how we collect, model, and optimize data flows to support critical business decisions.
Responsibility
- Elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements from stakeholders across departments.
- Analyze current workflows and data flows; model processes and data relationships using BPMN and UML.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA to translate requirements into technical specs and user stories.
- Assess system enhancements, conduct risk analysis, and propose cost effective solutions with measurable ROI.
- Develop and maintain system specifications, data dictionaries, and business rules with traceability to business goals.
- Support system testing, user acceptance criteria, and change management activities.
- Provide ongoing post implementation support and performance monitoring to ensure sustained value.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in systems analysis or business analysis, preferably in enterprise IT or software.
- Strong requirements elicitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart) and BPMN/UML notation.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis; knowledge of data warehousing or BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross functional collaboration abilities.
