Responsibility
- Prepare and file all required tax returns (VAT, withholding, income tax) accurately and on time.
- Review financial records to ensure proper tax treatment and compliance with BIR regulations.
- Monitor and implement changes in tax laws, and advise management on implications.
- Manage tax provisioning, reconciliation, and reporting for monthly closings.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for annual tax reviews and financial audits.
- Develop and maintain efficient tax processes and internal controls to minimize risk.
- Assist with tax planning and optimization strategies to maximize savings.
- Ensure proper retention of tax records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred or enrolled.
- 2-5 years of tax accounting experience in the Philippines.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws (BIR, VAT, income tax, withholding tax).
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain tax concepts to non-finance staff.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information.
- Exposure to audits and tax compliance processes.
