As a Tax Senior, you will own end-to-end engagements—from planning and risk assessment to execution and review. Your responsibilities include preparing and reviewing corporate income tax computations, monthly and annual tax filings, and statutory reports. You will advise on tax incentives, exemptions, cross-border considerations, and planning opportunities to minimize liabilities, while staying aligned with Malaysia's evolving tax landscape. Responsibility

  • Lead and manage tax engagements for a portfolio of clients, delivering compliant and innovative tax solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and file corporate income tax computations, tax returns, and related statutory filings.
  • Advise on tax incentives, exemptions, reliefs, and planning opportunities to optimize client tax positions.
  • Conduct transfer pricing analyses, documentation, and guidance for clients subject to TP rules.
  • Monitor changes in Malaysian tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, review work quality, and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with clients and tax authorities (LHDN) to resolve issues and respond to inquiries or audits.
  • Collaborate with accounting, payroll, and advisory teams to deliver integrated tax services.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (CA/CPA/ACCA) are preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of tax experience in Malaysia; Big Four or boutique firm experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, including corporate tax, personal tax, withholding tax, and tax incentives.
  • Proficient in preparing tax computations and returns for corporate and individual clients; experience with e-Filing is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, client management, and report-writing skills; fluent in English and Malay.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office; experience with tax software and data analytics is a plus.
