Alphaeus Pte. Ltd. is seeking a results-driven Technical Lead to steer large-scale infrastructure and data center migration initiatives. In this critical contract role, you will architect, oversee, and deliver complex infrastructure transformations that align with business goals, performance targets, and security requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT, security, and operations to ensure reliability, scalability, and minimal disruption.
As Technical Lead for Infrastructure and Migration, you will own the end-to-end program, from discovery and design through execution and handover. You will champion modernization through virtualization, storage optimization, network optimization, and cloud integration, while maintaining strong governance, risk management, and documentation. You will mentor engineers, drive automation, and implement infrastructure as code to accelerate delivery and improve repeatability. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure migration programs including data center relocation, consolidation, and modernization to achieve seamless transitions with minimal downtime.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across on-premises, virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Architect migration strategies, select tools, and define IaC approaches; implement automation pipelines (CI/CD) for deployment and testing.
- Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risk management, and stakeholder communications; report progress to executives.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams; foster a culture of reliability, incident response readiness, and on-call excellence.
- Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to enforce governance, compliance, and best practices.
- Establish runbooks, disaster recovery and business continuity plans; ensure disaster readiness and resilience.
- Engage with vendors and MSPs; manage third-party dependencies and tooling migrations.
Qualification
- Proven experience as Technical Lead or Principal Engineer for large-scale infrastructure projects, with data center migrations and cloud integration.
- Strong expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking, storage, backup, and DR/BCP.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and migration patterns; knowledge of security and compliance.
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible); familiarity with automation pipelines.
- Solid IT operations and service management mindset; experience with incident, change, and problem management; ITIL foundations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure certifications, ITIL) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 6+ years of relevant experience.
