Alphaeus Pte. Ltd. is seeking a results-driven Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for a major infrastructure migration within the banking and financial services sector. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to shape testing strategy, drive quality across multi-disciplinary teams, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of mission critical systems.
As the Test Manager, you will own the testing lifecycle from planning through execution and go-live. You will collaborate with program management, solution architects, developers, security, and operations to define acceptance criteria, test data strategies, and risk-based testing approaches that minimize production risk while meeting aggressive migration timelines.
Key responsibilities include establishing governance for test activities, maintaining traceability to requirements, designing comprehensive test plans, and leading a team of QA professionals and automation engineers. You will monitor testing progress, report on quality metrics, manage defect life cycles, and coordinate cutover readiness activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to negotiate with stakeholders across business lines and regions.

Responsibility
- Lead the development of the testing strategy for the infrastructure migration program, including scope, acceptance criteria, risk assessment, and success metrics.
- Lead cross-functional QA teams including functional, automation, performance, and security testing; coordinate with engineering, PMO, risk, and operations.
- Create and manage test environments, test data, and cutover readiness; ensure traceability to requirements and regulatory controls.
- Oversee test execution on migration environments; monitor progress, report defects, and drive timely remediation.
- Establish QA governance, metrics, and reporting; use dashboards to communicate quality posture to stakeholders.
- Implement and supervise test automation where feasible to accelerate cycles; select tools (Jira, HP ALM) and maintain automation framework.
- Manage risk mitigation and issue resolution; support incident response and continuity planning during migration.
- Ensure compliance with banking standards, data privacy, security controls; coordinate audits and regulatory reviews.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; professional certifications such as ISTQB, CSQE or PMP are preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in a Test Manager or lead role.
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure migration or cloud migration testing, preferably within banking/financial services.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, planning, governance, and defect management; risk-based testing approach.
- Proficiency with test management tools (Jira, HP ALM, TestRail) and automation tooling; able to design and maintain an automation framework.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in banking, data privacy, security controls, and audit processes.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple streams, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
