Are you a seasoned production professional with a passion for live theatre? Aurora Stage Collective seeks a Theater Production Manager to lead the orchestration of our productions in New York City.
In this full-time role, you will partner with directors, designers, stage managers, and production crews to plan and execute compelling performances from pre-production through opening night and beyond. You will steward budgets, schedules, vendor relationships, and risk management to deliver exceptional audience experiences while maintaining the highest artistic and safety standards.

Responsibility
- Oversee all aspects of production planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for mainstage productions and special events.
- Collaborate with directors, designers, and stage management to develop production calendars and run orders.
- Manage procurement, vendor contracts, rentals, and on-site logistics from tech week to opening night.
- Supervise safety compliance, risk assessment, and adherence to union contracts and industry standards.
- Lead rehearsal and performance run-throughs, cueing, and on-site troubleshooting to ensure timely deliveries.
- Develop and monitor production budgets, provide variance reporting, and approve expenditures.
- Coordinate with facilities and technical teams to ensure timely load-in, load-out, and equipment maintenance.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre Production, Arts Administration, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in theatre production management or stage management.
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules across multiple productions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and union contracts.
- Proficiency with production software and MS Office; familiarity with lighting, sound, and scenic systems is a plus.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
