Job description
Join Borneo Eco Tours as a Tour Consultant in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We craft immersive Sabah and Borneo experiences that respect nature, support local communities, and deliver unforgettable memories for travelers from around the world. As a Tour Consultant you will be the face of our brand, guiding clients from first inquiry to trip completion with warmth, expertise, and a commitment to sustainable travel.
As you listen to clients dreams, assess their interests and comfort level, you will translate ideas into tailored itineraries that showcase Sabah and Borneos landscapes, wildlife, culture, and lifestyle. You will present clear options with transparent pricing, practical recommendations, and well designed routes that balance adventure with safety and value. Your recommendations may cover wildlife safaris, island hopping, cultural tours, and eco friendly lodging, all aligned with responsible tourism practices.
In this role you will manage bookings with hotels, activities, transfers, and operators. You will coordinate with suppliers and guides, monitor trip arrangements, and respond to inquiries quickly to prevent disruptions. You will serve as a trusted advisor, handling quotes, confirmations, and proactive support throughout the customer journey while identifying opportunities to enhance the experience with thoughtful add ons.
We value initiative, clear communication, and a passion for Sabah and its diverse ecosystems. If you enjoy storytelling, careful planning, and delivering high touch service, you will thrive in our collaborative team and help us grow sustainable tourism in the region.
