Responsibility
- Lead daily transportation operations for a 150+ vehicle fleet, ensuring on-time delivery and service excellence.
- Develop and execute route optimization strategies to reduce mileage, fuel consumption, and transit times.
- Manage carrier relationships, vendor contracts, and performance metrics to maximize service levels and cost efficiency.
- Oversee safety compliance, incident investigations, and driver training programs to uphold industry standards.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare actionable reports for senior leadership, including cost-to-serve analyses.
- Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to align operations with demand and SLAs.
- Lead process improvements, implement transportation management systems (TMS), and leverage data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of transportation or fleet operations experience; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), route planning software, and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies and cost savings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and BI tools; experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) preferred.
