Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day transportation operations including fleet planning, route optimization, and scheduling.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, KPI tracking, and performance reporting.
- Manage carrier relationships, procurement, and contract compliance.
- Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and incident response across all operations.
- Develop and execute cost-control strategies while maintaining service quality.
- Collaborate with warehousing, customer service, and technology teams to optimize end-to-end flows.
- Lead a high-performing operations team, including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Implement scalable processes and standards to support growth and new markets.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years in transportation or logistics operations with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record in route optimization, fleet management, and cost reduction.
- Strong analytic skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FMCSA, DOT, HOS) and safety programs.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
