Responsibility
- Prepare and set up Cath Lab equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring sterility and safety.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, telemetry, and patient condition before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist physicians during catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, EP studies, and other interventions.
- Administer medications as prescribed, manage sedation and analgesia, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Provide post-procedure care, pain management, and discharge planning support.
- Ensure strict infection prevention, aseptic technique, and equipment sterilization protocols are followed.
- Document clinical information accurately and ensure timely handover to the care team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and continuing education to enhance clinical practice.
Qualification
- Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current practicing certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration.
- 1–5 years of clinical experience in invasive cardiology or cath lab is preferred; fresh graduates with relevant rotation exposure may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, and patient safety standards.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or ACLS; cath lab or EP-specific trainings are a plus.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to work shift rotations, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
