Responsibility
- Manage monthly close for US entities, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls.
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items; investigate variances and provide explanations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, vendor management, and expense reimbursements; ensure accurate posting and timely payments.
- Assist with revenue recognition, payroll reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and other transactional processes as needed.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation to auditors with minimal disruption.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and key financial metrics for leadership.
- Maintain robust internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, and operations to ensure alignment with US regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of US accounting experience, preferably with remote or global teams.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards; IFRS knowledge is beneficial.
- Proficiency with ERP and accounting software (eg QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with US-based stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
- Experience with tax compliance and audit support is a plus.
