As part of our US accounting function, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare basic reconciliations, maintain accurate vendor and customer records, and help with audit preparation. We provide training and a clear path for growth as you gain experience with accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and monthly reporting.
Responsibility
- Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for US-based clients, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
- Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger, supporting month-end close activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly close, financial reporting, and cross-functional data collection for management reporting.
- Maintain and organize vendor and customer records; assist with invoicing and collections as needed.
- Help ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls; participate in internal audits and process improvements.
- Collaborate with teammates across time zones to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Assist with audit documentation and readiness, providing clear support for external auditors.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or enrollment/work in progress) with a strong academic record.
- 0-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and data entry accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP basics and ability to prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and accuracy under deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Self-motivated with good time management and the ability to work independently across time zones.
