Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging UR training sessions for non-voice channels, including chat and email support, to ensure understanding of Utilization Review processes and documentation standards.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials, SOPs, checklists, and job aids aligned with UR guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess trainees through hands-on activities, simulations, and post-training evaluations to ensure competency and compliance.
  • Monitor training effectiveness using metrics such as audit findings, quality scores, and time-to-proficiency; implement data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA, operations, and HR to identify knowledge gaps and implement remediation plans for performance gaps and regulatory changes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to UR teams, emphasizing accuracy, privacy, and patient care standards.
  • Stay current with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and product updates; refresh training content accordingly to maintain alignment with industry best practices.

Qualification

  • Current, active US Registered Nurse (USRN) license.
  • Minimum 1 year of Utilization Review or related healthcare auditing experience in a BPO/CPO setting.
  • Teaching, training, or instructional design experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UR processes, clinical documentation, payer policies, and regulatory guidelines (CMS, HIPAA).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills; ability to engage diverse learner groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS); ability to deliver effective non-voice training.
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work non-voice shifts and adapt to schedule requirements.
