Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead the development of engaging, user-centered digital experiences. In this role, you will partner with product managers, researchers, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate complex scientific workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
As a key member of our design team in Singapore, you will leverage qualitative and quantitative user insights to shape product strategy and deliver delightful experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will own the end-to-end design processâfrom discovery and user research to information architecture, interaction design, and visual executionâensuring accessibility and performance across devices.
You will advocate for users, craft clear design systems, and collaborate across regional and global teams to maintain consistency and a coherent brand experience. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end UX design for digital products and platforms used by lab scientists, researchers, and clinicians.
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) and convert insights into actionable design decisions.
- Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems, components, and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and data teams to define and execute roadmaps and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and responsive design across web and mobile experiences.
- Translate complex scientific workflows into intuitive interfaces and optimize for performance and usability.
- Advocate for user-centered design across the organization and contribute to design reviews and stakeholder communications.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of UX design experience, preferably with enterprise software, healthcare, or life sciences domains.
- Portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work, including research, ideation, prototyping, and visual design.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual system design; familiarity with design systems.
- Experience with usability testing, user research methods, personas, and journey mapping.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
